There’s a lot to be said for last minute plans if the vacationer is willing to remain flexible on key issues.
First of all anyone with any special requirements needs to plan ahead. For instance, a large family or group traveling together will not be able to travel comfortably without reservations. At least not often. It’s always worth checking out the lists of rental units because there’s always a slim chance that someone with a six bedroom timeshare might have decided to change their yearly vacation plans. No one can really expect to find the exact resort they want at the last minute but do the research because life is full of pleasant surprises.
Similarly, last minute flights can be cheaper. But these days flying stand-by can require a lot of patience. Airport security is time consuming so take a book. Flights in the wee hours aren’t always full. A single person or adventurous couple can do fairly well on these last minute flight arrangements. But don’t subject children to these fly by night plans. Consider their comfort first if you have travel plans.
But those who can find timeshares for rent which meet their approximate needs should grab them. Hotels are cramped and offer fewer amenities for often the same and frequently more money. Timeshares for rent can include recreational opportunities that hotels may not. Timeshares nearly always include full kitchens and eating in will save many a strained vacation budget. It may be obvious but the first place to look would be RCI timeshares. Club members have many buy sell or trade options.
