Time share companies occasionally list resales of highly desirable locations. Snowy winter get-aways like Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Northern California not to mention Colorado all would constitute these. Most of us can only salivate at the better offerings among these. One on this list is Teton Club providing both ski and golf to its fractional ownership residents at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wyoming. This mountain boasts 459 inches of snowfall annually. The longest ski run offered is 4.5 miles long. This is just one of the reasons making the Jackson Hole area one of the most popular ski destinations around. With that unbelievable natural resource–snow–it seems unlikely that they will ever really need to manufacture the white stuff but they can cover 180 acres with the man made snow should nature ever fail us. Nearby Snowking Mountain, Wyoming offers, in addition to advanced trails, the use of 110 acres of night skiing. Powder bowls are the name of the game at Grand Targhee. With it’s whopping 500 inches of annual snowfall (which is of the unique powder variety that skiers crave) there will be guaranteed skiing between December and April. Although these are all close to Jackson Hole, Wyoming there is something here slightly different. A micro-climatic pattern has blessed Grand Targhee with qualities unparalleled even by nearby mountains. The puffy powder that yields those lovely swooshing waves mark each and every skier’s passing. The best advice here is to keep an eye on time share companies which offer trades or resales in these resorts since new offerings are few and far between.

Yellowstone Village, West Yellowstone Montana would allow time share owners the same near access to both excellent wilderness experiences and remarkable ski destinations. Nearby Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks make the visit to this area an overwhelmingly beautiful winter vacation destination. Most have heard of Old Faithful’s regular hot water fountains but there are about 10,000 hot spring features in this, America’s oldest National Park. Yellowstone in winter is rugged but there are tour options to create absolute comfort for those who want the view without the challenges. Also the usual winter sport equipment rentals of  snowmobiles and so on allow visitors a little of the challenge of this essentially wilderness area. The real drawback is of course availability! This time of year there’s precious little to buy, borrow or trade in ski country from most of the time share companies. But it is the best time to start seeking out time share offers for next year. Plan early as this trend toward winter vacations in winter wonder lands is not likely to end any time soon.
