Disney time shares might be enough to prevent a single vacation from including even one person in the family from saying, “I’m bored!” There are eight Disney resorts representing many of the best vacation timeshares on the Atlantic coast and the northeast. There is where an advertisement could almost stop. The ad agency could pretty much rest their case. These are enough to keep a family busy throughout the wonder years.
This is a blog however and won’t stop. It will just keep gushing in disbelief. The Disney concept has taken the timeshares concept to the next level. Each of its resorts is completely unlike the rest. The newest of these Disney resorts will open in September, 2007. This new offering called Disney Animal Kingdom Villas will stand its ground with the already established Grand Wilderness Lodge inside the Disney World site in Orlando, Florida.
Membership in Disney Vacation Club (DVC) also can be used on other Disney hotels, cruises and other options. DVC is considered to be a “real estate interest” but it definitely takes a salesman to explain this interest. They are basically limited to a time period of 50 years which is most of a lifetime of vacationing. These are operated on a points basis and different vacation times and accommodations cost a different amount of points. Right now the lowest amount of points that a consumer can purchase is 150. For a limited time these are being sold for just around $104 per point plus closing and deed costs. Special incentives are also currently offered on the Saratoga and Animal Kingdom resorts.
In addition to this basic initial purchase there is an annual fee which is accessed per point somewhere in the area of $5 which is subject to change. So a purchaser is responsible for the fee for 50 years making these long term obligations. These are marketable points and can easily be sold for this fee should the purchaser be unable to use the points or pay the fee. A total of 550 partners will offer exchanges of DVC points.
It is a bit confusing so make sure you talk with a sales representative at length before purchasing. Take a quick gander at the DVC website. It’s truly unbelievable what vacation amenities await purchasers of these timeshares and their options.
