Buy time share property for Christmas? Chanukah? Kwanzaa? Is any holiday a good occasion for one to buy time share property? Well there’s a lot of factors to consider when making this sort of long term purchase and buying one for an emotionally charged holiday might add unnecessary stress to life.
But there’s a right way and a wrong way to buy time share property gifts for the family. In some ways its like the best advice on giving a puppy for Christmas. Don’t surprise any one. Don’t add marital stress by surprising your spouse with a puppy or a time share location. If the two of you have previously discussed buying a time share and have agreed on a week and location then the gift is only a pleasant surprise.
If on the other hand the two of you discussed a time share purchase but couldn’t agree on a location having only narrowed the field to florida time shares or maui time shares then don’t buy your favorite. She might be a little agitated when a gift of clothing doesn’t fit but a time share purchase in a location that she abhors will not be forgiven just because she doesn’t want to ruin Christmas. Use common sense. She might not want to do it. But she will go ahead and ruin Christmas!
This is a bad idea. Also children are people too. Your favorite vacation destination may be a hideous idea to youngsters who only want to spend their vacations with their friends. You may be certain that flying the family to a tropical location will be an over-the-top holiday gift. They may want to spent the holiday in the next door neighbors’ basement playing video games. Make sure you’re on the same wavelength first. Do a little test of these waters months before Christmas. Ask if anybody thinks an annual Christmas trip to Orlando would be fun of something to avoid.
If they seem negative you might still consider a time share purchase but you might plan on spending hunting season with your buddies in a time share cabin. That way at Christmas new video games will be welcomed by your children and you’ll still get to buy time share property that makes you happy.
