Whistler time shares in Whistler, British Columbia are nestled into the Coast Mountains to the west of the Canadian Rocky Mountains far from the hustle and bustle of the city but not from luxury. If truly looking for a break from the crowds and traffic in the lower 48 there really is nothing like the pristine views and clean mountain air of Canada.
But Canada is a big place why choose these foothills and this particular town that could nearly pass for a suburb of Vancouver? Well among other things buying a timeshare for the right weeks will give you quick access to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Still that is just one year and a timeshare purchase is a pretty long term commitment.
For some sports fans though, planning ahead for the time frame between February 12 through 28, 2010 is a must. Additionally, March 12 through the 21 of 2010 will offer a second chance for sports fans who couldn’t quite get a time share during the winter Olympics because the Paralympics will also be held in Vancouver.
Certainly, there must be some reason why these winter games are scheduled to be held in the area between Vancouver and Whistler. What are those reasons? In a word facilities are the reason why one location is chosen over another for this sort of massive international sports gathering. The natural landscape affords plenty of winter athletic facilities to be sure.
But the area of Vancouver is seeing the construction of a variety of buildings for these games. Those lucky enough to find a Whistler time share will benefit from proximity to those new constructions for many vacations to come. Buildings like the Trout Lake Rink, the Pacific Coliseum, UBC Winter Sports Centre and the Whistler Sliding Centre as well as many other winter sports facilities will provide entertainment for decades of Canadian get-a-ways.
